Pegust focuses on energy-efficient products with Pegust PrimAir in air treatment and Pegust Microwaves for drying and sterilization based on smart technology for the best possible results. We are one of the few that offer microwave technology in many application areas and our ventilation systems have the lowest energy consumption in the market.

Inventiveness and innovation

Innovator Per-Erik Gustafsson and Inga-Lill Gustafsson started the company in the early 60s. The business idea was to manufacture and install ventilation. In the early 80s, Per-Erik met Tore Lööv, the founder of Partex, who had already begun testing how to best dry wood. This resulted in a microwave oven and together with the University of Luleå they developed a test machine that worked really well. Per-Erik continued to test other products in the machine and over the years they have tried everything from tea to sludge.

Innovative thinking and a great interest in technical solutions are behind the company’s success. Per-Erik has had about 40 patents over the years, for example on counterflow heat exchangers, and in 1994 he received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Sciences for his microwave work. Pegust continues in the same spirit by developing, manufacturing and selling its own products for both indoor and outdoor use.
